skeery day! And cat talk day

All of a sudden the whole apartment started shaking!  Mama said it was a 5.8 earthquake.  I went UTB and didn't come out until she got home.  She comed home early acause her office was evacuated.  There is broken stuff at her office and one broken statue at our house.  It was skeery!  I felt much better once mama got home.

The Zoolatry girls came up wif a fun idea for us to do today!  It's Cat Talk Day.  My favorite cat talk phrase is "nipped out."  I am a total nip head!

Here is a picture of me eating up some nip:

When you are nipped out, it means that you haf just eaten or inhaled some primo nip and are in a totally blissed out state.  Here is a good example.  After mama let my grandma's cat try out our hammick, she hadded to wash it.  She sprayed it wif catnip spray after she putted it back on the frame.  Kit rolled around on it -- he was totally nipped out!

I like dried nip and live nip best.  Kit likes live nip and nip spray.  However you like it, I hope you get nipped out soon!

I'm sorry you got a shaker at your place. We haven't had a big one in a long time.

You look very cute on your kitty bed.

A little nip might be the purrfect thing to have after the earthquake! We heard about it, and it was felt into parts of Ontario too, but our mom didn't notice anything in our area. We're glad you're okay!

We have those too here in TN. Glad you are alright sweet girl. Mommy was watching a live show from Philadelphia and the host stopped talking and said "what's happening? What's happening?" I could see the camera was shaking and she was holding onto her chairwith both hands. That was 2ish or so in the afternoon.

We bet that nip helped ease your fears from that earthquake. What in the world is going on? Hurricanes, earthquakes...what's next?

We felt it too, though since we are in NC, we just got a little tremble. But we really really didn't like it! Our Mom didn't either.

We had a quakey here, too, at the NM/CO border! I didn't feel it though. I think I would have hidden, too! You are very brave, Athena!

glad you are all safe and sound! That was "skeery!" for sure!

I think my Mom could use some of that nip, she is pretty stressed out with the hurricane, earthquake and all!

We get even bigger, scarier earthquakes where I live sometimes! My human is used to them, but I don't think I ever will be!

Ooo you must have been shaking in your cat boots! We experienced an earthquake once as well, of about the same strength, in Japan. It was scaaary...it looked as if the walls were swaying back and forth like jelly.

What a great cat word of the day! We must admit that we're awfully keen on "pawsome" but we don't feel very exciting admitting that. :P

That earthquake certainly came out of nowhere! Our #1 lived for many years in Japan and so is used to them, but we don't think we would enjoy them at all!

Earthquakes sound very scary. Bob says that when he lived in California, he went through a couple of tremors and those were bad enough. He says that tremors are what is felt a long ways away from where a earthquake happens. Not as bad shakes and not as long, but can still hurt you if you are in the wrong spot.
